United Way of Henderson County uses a community impact model to make a difference in our community. This means that we mobilize people and resources to change conditions in our community and improve lives. UWHC Board, Staff and Strategic Planning Committee identified health, education and financial stability as target impact areas and refined the themes into six target issues: Kindergarten Readiness, School Success, Economic Self-Sufficiency, Affordable Housing, Physical Activity & Nutrition, and Healthy Youth Behaviors.
