United Way of Henderson County

United Way of Henderson County's 2014 Day of Caring was a huge success thanks to YOU!

The spirit of volunteerism was alive and well in Henderson County as shown through the selfless actions of 275 individuals who assisted in 33 projects at non-profit agencies throughout our community.  The impact and enthusiasm felt throughout these agencies will leave a lasting impression on all the lives that were touched.

United Way of Henderson County’s 2014 Campaign was officially kicked off with a short presentation from UWHC Board Chair Todd Webb, Pardee Hospital CEO Jay Kirby and UWHC Non-profit Campaign Chair Kristen Martin.  Kristen announced that to date, over $27,000 has already been pledged to UWHC from within Henderson County’s non-profit community.

Before volunteers were dismissed to their designated projects, Executive Director Ruth Birge left the crowd with an inspiring call to action, “The 2014 Campaign is critical in laying a strong foundation as we strive to achieve our HC 2025 goals.”

Thank you to each and every volunteer that made this day so impactful by LIVING UNITED. Thank you Pardee Hospital for sponsoring our Kickoff breakfast and Kimberly-Clark for providing our t-shirts.
